Up to $8,442
Up to $8,442 for six months, or $10,130 in Asia. Plus up to $1,354 for approved Asian language study.
Who can get it
- Students in a Commonwealth supported place who are Australian citizens or eligible non-citizens.
- You've finished one full-time year of your course and will have at least one unit left when you return.
- Your uni has selected you, and your overseas subjects count toward your degree.

How to claim
- Talk to your uni's international or exchange office about its selection process.
- Confirm the overseas subjects will be credited.
- Once selected, submit the OS-HELP eCAF your uni gives you.
Conditions and catches
- It doesn't cover a whole course taken overseas.
- You can't get it if you've already had OS-HELP more than once.
