Who can get it
- Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- First-year apprentice, or planning to enrol in a Certificate III or higher in Semester 1 of the following year.
- Categories: access and equity, merit, athlete merit, and career pathway merit.
How to claim
- Complete the online application form in one session with proof of identity and citizenship plus supporting evidence.
Conditions and catches
- Applications open in July and close towards the end of September; the 2027 round is closed.
- Paid as $3,000 after study starts and $2,000 at a course milestone.
