UTS Interest-Free Student Loan

Interest-free loan for enrolled UTS students facing short-term cash flow problems.

$3,000

Up to a $3,000 balance at any one time, with no interest charges.

Who can get it

  • Currently enrolled, continuing UTS student (international students must be onshore)
  • 90 days of transactions for each Australian bank account

How to claim

  1. Apply online in the student portal under Financial Assistance Application
  2. For urgent needs call SSU reception on 02 9514 1177

Conditions and catches

  • Must be fully repaid before you complete your course; repayments can be deferred 3 months then spread over 3, 6 or 12 months
  • Not open to UTS College, non-award, inbound exchange or leave-of-absence students
  • First-session students can apply only after census date
