For 2026, there is a cap of $420 per calendar year for students born on or after 1 July 2008.
Who can get it
- Born on or after 1 July 2008, at least 15, not enrolled at secondary school and not in a VETDSS program
How to claim
- Provide proof of age and proof you have left school when you enrol.
Conditions and catches
- The cap does not apply to Recognition of Prior Learning, resource fees or commercial courses.
