Tuition Protection for VET Student Loans
If your VET Student Loans provider closes or stops your course, the TPS helps you move to a replacement course or re-credits your loan.
Who can get it
- Students with a VET Student Loan whose provider defaults, for example by closing, not starting a course or stopping it partway through.
How to claim
- Contact the Tuition Protection Service on 1300 131 798.
Conditions and catches
- If no suitable replacement course is available, you get a loan re-credit only for the part of the course you paid for but weren't taught.
- A replacement provider may charge for some parts of the course, so ask what you'll need to pay.
